Therapeutic Expeditions and Intensives

As a clinical psychologist, I thought I was equipped and knew best with my son and daughter as they ventured deep into addiction, self harm and multiple arrests. The grief, loss, disconnect, and fear was overwhelming. Nothing that I knew or was trying was working.  With discomfort and humility, I put my degree to the side and trusted John’s intuitive, heart felt approach.  Listening to and following  someone else was intense for me as I have deep set control issues.  What he did with my children, my husband Jim, and my marriage is unexplainable.  Say yes!  NYC 2019

The team became a congregation of some of the greatest people I have ever encountered in my 30 years on this earth. Each and every person changed into better people. I can see why these people chose to participate and I am proud to be a part of it. I will never forget my team members.

THANK YOU John Davis and 2xtreme for taking our family on.  After reading Extreme Pursuit I knew John had a different approach.  We participated in a 3 week family intensive and changed our entire construct on how to connect with a 23 year old son who at the time was “not connectable with”.  New skills, a deeper understanding of who my son was instead of who he “should” be, changed it all for our family.  I learned that movement in relationships can be walked out with physical movement next to my wife and two children.   Bernardsville, NJ 2019

Skeptical and doubtful that a 17 day therapeutic expedition would help me after 10 years of internal, silent suffering and misery.  I have never met someone like John.  Crazy intuition. Trauma changed our entire family.  Two of my four children completely shutdown while two pressed forward into success.  All four were hurting.  We all participated in a 21 day therapeutic expedition.  Being “out” slowed us all down. I’ve never imagined anything like what my family and I experienced by allowing John to see and speak into each of us in a tender, human, and loving way.  The shift was slow and became seismic.  The follow up also kept us practicing a new emotional language that kept us connecting and growing.  This program realigned us together.  It is really hard emotional work.  The epiphanies are so much better than the alternative.  Thank you John and the 2xtreme organization. –Norwich, VT

This trip changed my life. I made a plan to work harder in school and defeat my anger. I have done both. I am now stronger in my head. Ice climbing freaked me out but I have never experienced that type of rush except for accomplishing great grades and handling my anger.

We took an incredible leap of faith and relocated our family of five to Colorado for a three month intensive with John and the 2xtreme organization.  Priceless!  Two of my sons were lost in addiction.  Our whole family needed care and a total reset of all the tools that no longer were effective.  Three years post intensive, we are still practicing the skills we learned and my marriage is the strongest it has ever been.
